Mode of Operation

Mellcon Flake / Ice Machine  & Ice makers are plug-in-units requiring only connection to water and mins supply. These Ice machines supply Shaved Ice at a temp of -1 Deg. C. & are very good for product cooling application.Water flows from storage container into ice maker cylinder. The cylinder is surrounded by an evaporating coil so that the water is frozen on the inside on the cylinder at low evaporation temperature. The ice is then removed from cylinder wall in this layer by a work which revolve inside the cylinder and pushes the ice upward. Here it is pressed hard, frozen further & then broken off and ejected. The operations completely automatic and no operating personnel are required. Capacities above 10000 Kgs. Per 24 Hours can be supplied against requirement. The ice is as fresh and clear as the water from the mains supply. During production and up to point of removal from the store, it is untouched. Thus the ice we get is Hygienic Ice. It offers quick cooling because of its large and crystalline surface.
